Extended Anderton Family Christmas Party

Every year Grandpa Anderton reads the nativity story out of the scriptures and the little kids act it out and dress up.

Mindy's baby 'Liam' played baby Jesus.

Then we sing a song, and announce that Santa came and Grandpa hands out a present to all the kids and money envelopes to all the adults.

Mantha got a magni-doodle from Santa.

There was a missionary couple in charge of keeping up the place and they set up this cool train village when people come and the kids loved it!
The boys were in charge of keeping the kids busy with a movie.......

Everyone love Mantha, Princess Jen even taught her how to play ping pong.

Heidi's shower/Friend Christmas party

Heidi is getting married! She lives in Florida, so we had a shower for her when she was here for the holidays. (She is the one in the toilet paper wedding gown.) The first time Heidi met Benj, right after we got married she walked up to him, looked him straight in his eyes and said "that is so wierd that your lips are the same color as the rest of your face!" ........that is Heidi for ya.

The next day we had a Christmas party with our friends from High School at my Mom's house. It was so fun, I hadn't seen some of these people for years and we got to meet spouses and kids too!

These are just cute ones of Mantha: she spilled trail mix on the floor and said 'uh-oh' and then started shoving it in her mouth as fast as she could. I of course ran for the camera.

Decorating Grandma & Pa McDonald's

I took Mantha up to my Grandma and Grandpa McDonald's house and met my Mom and aunt Wendy to put up their Christmas decorations. Mantha loved the tree.....no surprise there. They have decorations that are like antiques, my Great Grandma made them during the depression out of wire and yarn and stuff. But they were beautiful! She was very creative, I don't think I got that gene. :(

Anderton Family Pics

We took a family picture on Thanksgiving, first time in a long time that we have all been together. These are in the stream behind my Mom's house, isn't is pretty. We are so lucky to have grown up here. It will be sad when my parents sell their house, if they ever do, they have been threatening to for years now. :( My Mom was pretty excited that we took these in 'her stream'. Isn't she cute. I thought everyone would enjoy seeing the fam all grown up. Enjoy!

Big Girl Bed

Mantha has been throwing a fit every time we put her in her crib lately and I have been having a hard time with her sleeping in general. She still gets up to eat at least once a night anyway (her short-gut requires her to eat more often than a normal kid). But, I was a little hesitant about switching her to a toddler bed because I had heard so many horror stories about kids climbing out of it all night long. But, we decided to try it! We found a toddler bed (for $20 on craigslist!) and set it up this week and she is doing GREAT. She was so cute, right we when got it up she put her little stuffed animals on her bed (thats what her cousins do, I couldn't believe she remembered that). So far, so good....fingers crossed.

BYU Folk Dance Ensemble

We went to the BYU folk dance ensemble last weekend with my family and had so much fun! They did a dance for every different country around the world, it was fun to see the different cultures and outfits. The dances were fun and different for each place, the dancers were very full of energy and they even had a live band with a fiddler, drummer, flutist, and singers.

We ate at fuddruckers before the concert...yummy!

My Dad got to meet the 'Blues Brothers' while we were at Fuddruckers, he was pretty excited, he seriously was but doesn't smile for pictures :).
