Anderton Thanksgiving

Friday morning early I went shopping (for the Black Friday sales) and got lots of good stuff and then we went to Adam's house again to watch Ben's brothers football game (A&M). It was so good, they won their rivals (Texas) and it was the last home game and since Mike is a senior, his VREY last home game, but they should go to a decent bowl game and that will be good.
So, we didn't get to the Anderton party til 6:30ish. We had EVERYONE there from my family, even the CO brothers and their families. And G'ma and pa McDonald and G'ma Anderton was there.

Kristie and Katie from WA came, and here is my Dad and his Mom.

Samantha loves phones, here is my Mom and her Mom!

G'ma with the little girls, Mantha videoing. :)

G'pa Mac and Jeff, Nat and G'ma Mac.

Jessie, April, Elisa......LOTS of cousins.

Mantha and Abe.

Ava, Brooke, and Abi sang primary songs for us, SOO cute.
Porter and Mi-Mi.

Brooke and Jen, G'ma Mac and G'ma Anderton-great friends (their husbands flew United together after WWII, and their families have been great friends ever since....so my Mom and Dad grew up together.)

So, my Mom has kept all our homemade ornaments from grade school and decorates her tree with them every year (it usually looks pretty bad). So, this year Jen had a great idea for her Christmas present. Each sibling (well, all the girls) got 20 color coordinated ornaments to decorate my Mom's tree. Then Friday night after everyone went to bed, we decorated her tree, then we woke her back up because we were so excited to show her and couldn't wait til morning. It was funny cause my Mom wanted to stay up and play games with us all night and we kept trying to get her to go to bed, we finally had to each pretend we were going to bed, then when she really thought we were asleep she went up to bed. So these pictures are at like 3am. Remember, we all woke up at 4am that morning to go shopping, so we were on very little sleep anyway! Here is the finished product, pretty good huh?

Corey Thanksgiving

With Benj's parents being Mission Presidents in Indiana we had the Corey Thanksgiving without parents which was hard, different, and weird! I was in charge of organizing it and Adam and Kristen hosted it. I was kinda stressed about it, but it turned out fun, we had a turkey bowl at the park, ran to the airport to pick up the CA Corey's, then went to Adam's and ate, then played the wii while we digested, then the boys went to a church for some intense, competitive basketball, and we just got to talk and keep eating all night! (wow, long sentence)

Kristen was the brave one who cooked the turkey! She gets a medal!

The kids had so much fun at the park!

Addie and Timothy were so cute boxing each other on the wii!

What we do

We have a cat that hangs around our house all the time and Samantha loves to play with him, I only allow it outside though. :) (I know her outfit is way too small and she looks like a boy, I still like it though)

Mantha has started climbing under the sink and shutting herself in the cupboard while saying "byeee" really loudly. Pretty cute, but.....I never thought pantie liners were fun.

We love our Provo Library, it is huge and they have so many good activities going on all the time. Our favorite is going to Mother goose time every Friday. They sing songs, have activities, do a puppet show, and read a story. Samantha did very good this week and actually stepped on the 'magic story blanket' before turning around and running back to me. She doesn't like to do the activities or songs, she mostly likes to just watch the other kids and clap her hands a lot.

E-book show

I found these great books at Samantha's school/therapy class. They are very educational and help with development for kids of all ages. So, I am going to do an E-'book show' just in time for Christmas and share these great books with you. Follow the link and order your heart away!

Halloween with Grandma

So, Mantha and my Mom survived the week.....and so did I.
Thanks, again, Mom for watching her, we really felt
like we could relax and not worry about her.

My Mom even dressed her up for Halloween (with the help of Brooke and Jessie).
I am feeling some guilt for missing her first Halloween. :(
-And to think at this time last year we were hooking her up to IV's every night, thinking her life would be that way for a long time. She has come so far.

Brooke and Jessie took her trick-or-treating, 'but she can't eat any sugar' you say.......well they took care of that part for her. Aren't they sweet?
I think she enjoyed herself.
