Asher was born with a pretty severe tongue-tie that we didn't notice until he was a few months old. It mostly affected how he ate (which we were having a very hard time with). And could've cause speech problems when he got older. Mantha's 3!We had a fun swiming party at our favorite pool in Orem. We were planning on getting there at noon when it opened then coming home for a nap at 2 or 3, then returning for the night swim at 5. Potty Training?

Don't let this fool you, she is in no way closer to potty training than she was 6 months ago. Everyone keeps telling me to 'wait until she's ready,' well..........she may never be ready. We took Samantha out to fly her first kite this weekend and she LOVED it! She picked the kite out herself and was so exicited all day. We packed a picnic with subs and it was a beautiful day. Surgery was a success!

Thanks for all the prayers and fasting in our behalf on this day. The surgery went better than hoped for. The Dr. was able to get the stint out and he thought the duct looked open which means it worked! We went in expecting the worst and miraculously everything worked out. Heavenly Father was truly watching out for Mantha as he always does.

Today was the day we had scheduled to get Samantha's tube out of her eye, it was supposed to be a very easy procedure to be done in the Doctor's office. But the tube for some reason is stuck and could not be taken out. I held her down as the Doctor and assistant used tweezers to yank on that tube as hard as they could. We had SO much fun in Indiana visiting Ben's parents!We were there right after the flooding in Southern Indiana happened and it was neat to see the church step up and get help to all those people (25,000 lost their homes) and how organized they were getting everything done. Yesterday we headed back up to Primary Children's Hospital to redo Samantha's eye surgery. This time they put stints in and they will stay in for 3 months (if Samantha doesn't pull them out before that) and then we can see if they worked. The Doctor told us only 5% of kids that have the surgery have to have it redone and stints put it, of that group the success rate is very high that the stints

Eye surgery

Samantha has had eye drainage problems her whole life (apparently lots of kids do). Well, it is supposed to clear up on it's own by one year and we waited til she was almost 2........and nothing, so she had the surgery. It is to clear out the tear ducts, they put a wire down them and then a balloon to stretch them out (usually there is a blockage at the end of the duct that needs stretching).

We got Mantha's 18 month pictures done....finally!! We were actually in the studio when she fell and got her goose egg, and they made us fill out an accident report so we wouldn't sue (can you believe that?) and it took forever! It was a long day. I just had to post these of my Dad!He goes out every snow storm and plows the driveway (which if you have seen it-well it's long), then he plows many of the neighbors' driveways and the circle. It takes him several hours to plow. One time he even drove his 4-wheeler down to Elisa's house (about a mile away) on main street and did her driveway for her. He is always doing things like that.....love

Mantha's sleeping pill

Benj had to work 24/7 this weekend and I took Mantha up to my parents to get out of his way.
